➠ Name: October Oxford Flynn
➠ Nicknames: n/a
➠ Birthday: November 11th, 1993 (29 years old)
➠ Pronouns/Gender: male; he/him
➠ Physical Description: A swimmer's build, with a decently defined chest and shoulder muscles and abs, but far from Arnold Schwarzenegger levels of muscular. At around 6'2", his height and his strength are at odds with his personality, which is much quieter and more subdued. His black hair is long on all sides except the left, which is shaved down in a side-shave that shows off the several piercings in his left ear, including one main lobe one in the shape of a teardrop. He has intense blue eyes but they're half hidden behind his glasses, currently vividly blue square ones just a shade lighter than his eyes. October dresses apocalyptically, both in style and the state of his head, mismatched, artfully torn and ripped, usually multiple layers in varying shades of grey and black (though there's some blue in there too).
➠ Occupation: Formerly a bounty hunter for hire, October is now a florist at a local shop.
➠ Personality: Sleepy and morose, October's tendency towards doomscrolling and doom-scenario-ing has made him prone to only seeing the worst in situations (a stark contrast to his sanguine father). He leans towards the dramatic in his thoughts and actions, always overthinking and acting as though the world is going to end if he doesn't get a nap or chips or something else within the next five seconds. Most of this is an act; October has spent many years providing only for his little brother and has never really had a chance to do anything on his own. By the time Nash was old enough to take care of himself, he left both abruptly and without any indication of returning, which sent October into a spiral of confusion and a daunting sense of failed responsibility. In reality, he takes everything quite seriously; he has a very deep heart and a longing for a family that has never truly been fulfilled, but he doesn't think he deserves anything good in life and so he throws himself into everything else to avoid looking more closely at why that is. He's the sort of person who can fall asleep anywhere and anytime, but also suffers from untreated depression and anxiety, two things that continue to press in on him no matter how hard he tries to pretend they don't exist. He is loyal to a fault, constantly sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of someone else's; October has gotten sick multiple times by pushing himself too hard in the wrong direction in these cases. Also tending to portray himself as useless and pathetic, October is, underneath, actually quite strong (physically, at least) and extremely smart.
➠ Backstory: The first son of two very independent people, October has spent most of his life fending for himself and taking care of his little brother November (Nash). His mother was a model-turned-state-prosecutor, while his father was a peace loving hippie who spent a great deal of time advocating for Nudity Thursdays at the local bar and passing out All Natural Remedies for everything. The upbringing of both sons was free-spirited and loose, with rarely any discipline and an excess of chia seeds and kale in every recipe.
When October was nineteen, his mother quit her job as a high powered lawyer and took off with his father, the two of them embarking on a find-yourself-again journey across the world. It's been ten years since then, and they're still on their journey. Meanwhile Nash has moved to St. Raymond's, and, after a few years of world traveling himself, October has finally decided to join him. A part of him understands that he can't keep trying to baby his little brother and that he needs to fend for himself, but he can't help himself.
