➤ Physical Description: 6'1", with broad shoulders, a muscular torso, and a square jaw with heavy black eyebrows and bright blue eyes. He always seems to have a bit of scruff going, whether intentional or not, and his face bears the scars of a dog attack from his teenage years: one across the bridge of his nose, and one down his left cheek. He keeps his blue-black hair well-kept, usually swept back out of his face, a shit-eating grin his usual go-to. Ilya dresses elegantly, but casually simple, with expensively made trousers and slacks, name brand high neck sweaters, and a supply of plush Italian shoes. Rarely any accessories or jewelry other than the single pair of piercings in his ears.

➤ Personality: A morally gray man with a sharp wit and even sharper senses, Ilya will do what he thinks is the best choice even if to make that choice he has to step on everyone else to do it; he has his own set of morals that he adheres to, regardless of other opinions. Despising the concept of relying on anyone, even a little bit, Ilya is firmly in the camp of "I'll do it myself and I'll do it better than you ever could." He has a knack for reading people well, but is terrible with any sort of empathy or sympathy; most of the time, he just can't bring himself to care about someone else's trials and tribulations because he's too busy dealing with his own (or ignoring them). Physically strong through years of boxing, Ilya would rather use his fists to communicate instead of words; he can say much more with body movement and silent communication than he ever could in any other way; it makes up for the fact that he's severely lacking in the emotional category, mostly because he doesn't let himself get weighed down by anything that could prove to be a distraction to his goals. All he wants out of life is the freedom to do what he wants and he'll do a great deal in order to maintain that, not all of it above board.

His contempt for his homeland, his family (most notably his father) and his overwhelming desire to be able to do things for himself without anyone to control or help him had him disappearing from Russia at 19, ending up somewhere in upstate New York, a feat that took several years of planning (and a great deal of money) to pull off. Adopting the name "Ilya Volkov" as his new identity, he has since settled in St. Raymond's in an expensive, downtown condo in a gated community.
