♣ Physical Description: Arorangi is both incredibly tall (tapping out at 6'5") and widely built in the way that many Polynesian/Maori men are. He is both bulky and strong with a wide, flat nose, heavy dark brows, dark skin and thick, dark brown dreadlocks with big, long-lashed brown eyes. Everything about him is simultaneously intimidating and inviting, from his enormous, bright smile to his heavy Maori accent. Arorangi dresses in comfortable clothes first and foremost, and this generally consists of loose teeshirts, shorts, lavalavas, and sandals. He also has some tattoos around his throat and traditional tā-moko down his left arm with some on his right arm as well.
♣ Occupation: Arorangi has been studying for his Masters in Oceanography and has spent the last year in his homeland of New Zealand studying.
♣ Personality: Exceptionally friendly, cheerful, gregarious and bubbly, Arorangi will be your best friend and your greatest supporter. He is endlessly devoted to his friends and is the sort of guy that you could call in the middle of the night to come and get you and he would without a second thought. He would much rather focus on the positives than the negatives and he is such an overwhelming force of excited energy that it can sometimes be overwhelming. If he can focus only on the good things, then he doesn't have time to think about all of the struggles and negativity that he's had to face in his life.
♣ Backstory: Arorangi was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, the only son of a one night stand and a single father with whom he was very close. After Arorangi's father died when he was 18, Arorangi immigrated to the States and spent much of his time in Louisiana before eventually relocating to St. Raymond's. He's spent the last year working as a marine biologist student studying back in New Zealand; but he has recently finished his project and is now returning to St. Raymond's.
