✧ Pronouns/Gender: female; she/her
✧ Physical Description: 5'8" and slender, with long limbs and fingers (paired with sharply pointed pink nails), Velvet's impish smile is always painted hot pink or red, depending on her mood. Her magenta hair is blunt cut at chin-length along her sharp jawline and matches the straight bangs across her forehead; her original brown eyes are usually covered by pink contacts and bright, oversized (and useless with her contacts in) glasses. Everything about Velvet is loud and dramatic; she loves fashion, but it's fashion her way, regardless of the current trends: layers of pink fluffy cardigans and oversized fur coats and sharp pink stilettos are everyday wear for her.
✧ Occupation: Currently unemployed, but wants to work in the fashion industry; she's a Fashions Merchandising and Design major at a local Fine Arts university (not Almagest).
✧ Personality: A mischief maker in her own right, Velvet likes to start drama without actually being a part of said drama. She isn't exactly catty, but she likes a good fight and she likes theatrics and she absolutely loves to not be bored. She wants to be entertained, and she wants you to do it for her, so dance, monkey, dance. She isn't cruel, and she isn't pointlessly mean, but she is selfish and she is confident in herself; she just wants everyone else to be confident in her, too. Velvet can be ignorant of the way the world works, and that it isn't always going to cater to her every whim and fancy just because she wants it to.
✧ Backstory: The only daughter of a successful French businessman and a fashion editor mother, Velvet's parents divorced when she was about three and she's been shuffled back and forth between the two of them ever since. Her father lives in Paris, while her mother lives in New York City, and Velvet grew up not really feeling a part of either place, just trying to make the pair of them happy without alienating the other. Her parents, too absorbed in their mutual loathing of one another, have never really taken the time to really get to know their daughter and so Velvet has taken advantage of their distractions by running up credit card bills and spending way too much money on glitter. St. Raymond's was chosen as her new home on a complete whim; Velvet closed her eyes and picked a place on a map without looking, so here she is.
