𓆩♡𓆪 Physical Description: Tall, lean and well-muscled with olive skin and vivid green eyes, Ian takes good care of himself physically; it's a borderline obsession for him to try and look good, so he only wears the most expensive brands of jeans and uses the most expensive shampoo. With his sleek dark brown hair styled just so and strong-jawed face, he's an objectively attractive man (though he's spent his whole life thinking he's not). His overall wardrobe leans towards casual, but "elite" casual, nothing wrinkled or ripped or out of place.

𓆩♡𓆪 Occupation: Algebra and Calculus tutor for students at Almagest University, but it isn't his passion.

𓆩♡𓆪 Personality: Most of Ian's real personality is locked behind a guise of someone easygoing, confident, and slightly cocky. He's performative, but in the way of small details so that you'd never know he was acting unless you were looking for the tells: the fall of a smile, the widening of his eyes, the flinches on his face he tries to quickly hide. Beneath an extravagant and dramatic persona of someone who has his shit together, Ian is painfully aware that he doesn't belong in this world. Everything is painful and everything hurts; he clings to small shreds of happiness he can find here and there. His immediate reaction to anything is to shut down; a lack of communication paired with an attempt to gloss over a bad situation with a glossy smile and quick apology means nothing ever gets talked about properly. He's looking for some sort of meaning (isn't everyone?) and he doesn't know the first place to start so he just throws himself recklessly into things without understanding them. This means he pushes himself to the edge of danger in an attempt at actually feeling anything else other than his overwhelming anxiety and depression, but always manages to reign himself back in at the last second.

𓆩♡𓆪 Backstory: His family hails from Yemen originally, and his ancestry is all Arabic, but Ian was born in Canada after his family immigrated, first to the United States, then up to Canada. He has two older sisters (40 and 42 respectively) and one older brother (37); his sisters are both married and quite wealthy. Their family is extremely strict and always has been; Ian's older siblings are all extremely talented, both professionally and personally, whereas Ian, their gay, rebellious youngest child has been continually degraded and disregarded. He has developed severe depression as a result of both this and the death of his best friend at sixteen and has been in and out of mental facilities, some of which were not by his own volition. At twenty, Ian ran away and, 15 years later, he's managed to make a new home for himself in St. Raymond's, though he's still haunted by his inescapable family ties and persisting negative thoughts.
